Iran film crowns at French fest

Internationally acclaimed Iranian film ‘Pig’ has grabbed top award at French film festival.

Festival Int'l du Film Grolandais which granted best film award to Mani Haghighi’s title was held in France city of Toulouse in September 2018.

Hassan Majouni, Leila Hatami, Leili Rashidi, Parinaz Izadyar and Ali Baqeri are among the flick stars.

This is the latest achievement for the film which took a 2018 Berlinale bow prior to theatrical release in Iranian cinemas.

‘Pig’ depicts the story of Hassan, a filmmaker who has not been able to make any films lately, but his admired starlet can’t wait any longer and wants to leave and work with another director.

His wife no longer loves him. His daughter has grown up and feels independent. His old mother is suffering from Alzheimer. A distressingly gorgeous woman tracks him everywhere he goes and wants him to give her a role in his films.
